No, as long as a UK standard socket is available, no installation is required to use the EV charging cable. Whether at home or on the road.
In which order should the cable be connected?

Step 1: Insert the European standard plug into the socket.

Step 2: Set the current.

Step 3: Insert the Type 2 plug into the vehicle's charging socket.
How do I select the current when using the charger?

Higher amps lead to faster charging but also generate more heat in the socket.

13A: For emergency charging while traveling.

10A: For regular home use. Use 8A or 6A if other devices are running.

6A/8A: Best for safe overnight charging.
