The OBDCheck BLE helps you read the error codes causing the check engine light to come on. You may then find out what the possible causes are and fix simple problems by yourself and reset the light, potentially saving you a trip to a garage and hundreds of dollars. When you need to bring your car to a mechanic, it also gives you a peace of mind.
Compatible with iOS & Android
The OBDCheck BLE features dual-mode Bluetooth to work with iOS devices (iPhone or iPad) at Bluetooth LE mode, and Android devices at Classic mode. It is better than WiFi versions with much lower power consumption while allowing you to have access to internet for other apps via your cellular data.
Note:
1. For iOS devices, do not connect in Bluetooth Settings. Please contact in the OBD app.
2. For Android, it may not show as connected after pairing. You do not need to tap on it to connect again. Just start the App to proceed. Some Android head units are not compatible.
- Generic OBD II Functions (Engine Diagnostics): turn your phone or tablet into a sophisticated car scan tool and performance monitor. Read check engine light diagnostic trouble codes, freeze frame data and other diagnostic data (including mode 05, 06 & 08), view real-time sensor readings & I/M readiness, create customized dashboard and estimate fuel economy.
- Vehicle Compatibility: compatible with model year 2001+ petrol, and 2004+ diesel vehicles in EU and UK (for generic OBD II functions only; for advanced features like ABS/ airbag diagnostics or service reset, and manufacturer-specific data like DPF, only selected vehicles are supported when used with certain Apps. Please refer to user instructions for availability).
- Device Compatibility: Compatible with iOS (via Bluetooth LE, do NOT connect in iOS Bluetooth Settings; please connect directly in the OBD App) & Android devices (requires Bluetooth pairing; head units not recommended). For detailed iOS connection and Android pairing guide, please refer to the product images or user instructions.
- Compatible Third-party Apps (NOT included, some may require separate purchase): Car Scanner ELM OBD2, OBD Fusion, Torque (Android), Infocar, etc. Also compatible with special Apps for selected vehicles such as OBD JScan, BimmerCode (model year 2008+, excluding G series), BimmerLink (model year 2008+), Carista OBD2, Dr. Prius, etc. Note: NOT compatible with Carly, MHD, xHP, BimmerGeeks ProTool, etc.
- NOTE: NOT compatible with BMW pre-2008 models & G series when used with BimmerCode. Also not compatible with pre-2008 models via BimmerLink. Hybrid plug-in and electric vehicles require special apps such as Car Scanner (with corresponding EV connection profiles), EVNotify, ABRP (iOS) to connect because they do not follow standard OBD II protocols.
